Description

Creamy blueberry delights dance through this homemade ice cream, crafted with fresh summer berries and rich cream. Cool waves of sweet indulgence invite you to savor each spoonful of pure blueberry paradise.

Ingredients

Scale

Blueberry Bliss Ice Cream

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup (296 ml) blueberry pie filling
  • ½ cup (118 ml) milk
  • ¼ cup (59 ml) heavy cream

Sweetener:

  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a Ninja Creami pint container, whisk together blueberry pie filling, whole milk (237 milliliters or 8 fluid ounces), and heavy cream (237 milliliters or 8 fluid ounces) until perfectly homogeneous, using an immersion blender for an ultra-smooth consistency.
  2. Sample the mixture and incrementally adjust sweetness by incorporating granulated sugar, recognizing that the flavor profile will subtly diminish upon freezing.
  3. Seal the container with its corresponding lid, positioning it horizontally on a stable freezer shelf for a minimum of 24 hours to ensure complete solidification.
  4. Extract the pint from the freezer, detach the lid, and carefully transfer the container into the Ninja Creami’s designated outer bowl, ensuring precise placement.
  5. Securely mount the bowl within the Ninja Creami appliance, engaging the locking mechanism, then activate the dedicated Ice Cream processing cycle by pressing the designated button.
  6. Upon cycle completion, meticulously evaluate the ice cream’s textural integrity. If the mixture appears crumbly or fragmented, engage the Re-spin function to achieve optimal smoothness.
  7. Should the consistency remain unsatisfactory after initial re-spinning, incrementally introduce one tablespoon (15 milliliters) of whole milk and repeat the Re-spin process until achieving a luxuriously creamy texture.

Notes

  • Freeze the mixture completely for at least 24 hours to ensure proper ice cream formation and texture.
  • Use an immersion blender for a smoother, more consistent blueberry distribution throughout the mixture.
  • Adjust sweetness before freezing since the flavor intensity changes when frozen.
  • Keep extra milk on hand to help re-spin and achieve the perfect creamy consistency if the initial result is crumbly.
  • Experiment with different pie fillings or fresh blueberries for unique flavor variations.
  • Clean the Ninja Creami components immediately after use to prevent sticky residue and maintain machine performance.
